Structure and Composition
The DMC comprises two subcommittees: the CDS Officer’s Committee (COC) and the Scientific Programs Speaker Committee (SPSC).
The Dental Meetings Committee (DMC) will be comprised of thirteen (13) voting members, including the CDS Officer’s Committee (5 CDS Officers + 1 Immediate Past New Dentist Board Director) and the Scientific Programs Speaker Committee (5 appointed members, 1 New Dentist Director, and 1 senior consultant). The position of Chair of the Dental Meetings Committee (DMC) will be held by the President-elect of the Chicago Dental Society from April 1 – March 31st of their Presidential year.
Committee Goals:
- Sustain the MWM as the Premier Dental Meeting.
- Generate a Collaborative Team Approach in CE Program Planning.
- Make CDS the source of year-round CE.
- Promote the CDS as the Leader of Continuing Dental Education.
- Promote the CDS CE Programs as a value-added Membership benefit.
- Sustain the financial strength/viability of the CDS as an organization.
- Promote our Trademark Phrase: The Chicago Midwinter Meeting is “The Respected Leader in Scientific Dental Meetings.”

The DMC will operate under financial guidelines set by the budget approved by the CDS Board of Directors.
