Registration Updates and Deadlines

Register online through the meeting

All registrations received by January 10 will be mailed to the individual whose name appears as the primary registrant/payor. Any registration received after January 10, badges can be picked up onsite at e-badge or self-printing kiosks at McCormick Place West, Level 3, General Registration. Please note that international registrants can only be picked up onsite.

New for 2025, attendee badges will be mailed beginning Jan. 10, 2025. For registrations, completed after Jan. 10, 2025, attendees must print their badges onsite. Visit the General Registration area at McCormick Place West to print your badge(s) at the self-service badge printing and e-badge stations located on the Concourse, Level 3.

Beginning with the 2026 Midwinter Meeting, badges will no longer be mailed and must be printed on site.

If you registered before Jan. 10 and have not received your registration materials by Jan. 31,  please call 630.241.1345 or 888.696.2446 or email our registration company

Replacement badges can be printed onsite at the Reprints booth for a non-refundable $25 fee in the General Registration area, Level 3 Concourse. Please allow time to wait in line before your course begins.

Register in advance to receive "F" Lecture tickets

Avoid waiting at the course room door to get into free lectures.

When you preregister for the meeting, order tickets for F (Free) Lectures to reserve your place and be seated without delay if you arrive by the start of the class. Register early to save money on the cost of registration.

Over 2,500 people attempt to register onsite between 7:30 a.m. and 12 p.m. each of the first two days of the meeting. Every effort is made to accommodate these attendees, however, long lines are inevitable. CDS urges attendees to register early, preferably online, to avoid these lines.

Hygiene and dental assistant students' badges available for printing/pick-up onsite

Hygiene and dental assistant students are eligible to pre-register for the Midwinter Meeting, however, badges can only be picked up onsite. Although hygiene and dental assistant students cannot select free “F” lectures in advance of the meeting, they can still attend "F" lectures if seating is available in the room the day of the course.

To find out if seating is available for a free lecture onsite, we recommend you refer to the Midwinter Meeting mobile app "Schedule" tab (available mid-January), which syncs in real-time to course/event sales.  Or you can opt to go to the course room the day the course is presented.

Online Additions

You may revisit the registration site at www.cds.org/register, from Nov. 1 through Feb. 22, 2025, to make changes and additions to your office registration. You can also contact our registration vendor directly for adjustment and refunds as well.

Dentist Registration

Under no circumstances may a dentist register as a guest, spouse, exhibitor, dental assistant, dental hygienist, dental technician, office personnel, student, family member or dental trade. Registration will be revoked for dentists who register in any category other than dentist, and the dentist will be charged the appropriate registration fee or asked to leave the meeting. Spouses who are dentists are considered dentists and therefore are expected to register as dentists. This is particularly true if you are seeking CE credits from CDS or the Academy of General Dentistry. Dentists registering as press (category P), must be registered as dentists first.

Free registration to the Midwinter Meeting is a member benefit available to those CDS dentists who have paid their dues in full (or are enrolled in the auto-dues payment program) on or before Jan. 1 for the year of this Midwinter Meeting. Those who have not paid their dues in full may be required to pay the appropriate registration fee. The registration company receives current membership status updates throughout the registration season to be sure all current CDS members can take advantage of this benefit.

Please pay your membership dues online prior to registering. CDS dues payment cannot be included with your registration. It will delay the processing of both your dues and your registration.

Tripartite member CDS dues can be paid online

Associate member CDS dues can be paid online here. Please note that it may take a few days to process your membership before you can pre-register as Category A (CDS Dentist).

You cannot join the American Dental Association (ADA) through CDS while pre-registering. Register as a non-ADA member and contact your state dental society to join the ADA. If you do join the ADA for 2025 prior to April 1, CDS will refund the difference of the non-ADA registration fee.
